New England’s Fire Service Heritage: Farrar Fire Apparatus

For many years, the Farrar Company in Woodville (a village in Hopkinton), Massachusetts, built a variety of types of fire apparatus – usually on a commercial chassis. Although the company is no longer in existence, a number of Farrar pieces are still in active service.
