Senior Center Salon in Enfield, Connecticut

One New England treasure is the great wealth of thoughtful conversation and good ideas that spring up among the people of the region. One such example comes from Enfield, Connecticut.

The Enfield, CT, Senior Center will be holding a Salon on Tuesday afternoons. At each meeting, one member of the group will volunteer to either lead a discussion, offer a presentation on a subject they have researched, or plan a guest speaker. The discussions are designed to educate, be thought provoking, or provide stimulating conversation.

A salon is defined as "a periodic gathering of social or intellectual distinction." The salon began in France, in the 17th and 18th centuries, as an important place for the exchange of ideas.
