Senior Corps Week

This week, the week of 7-11 May, is being observed as the third annual Senior Corps Week. The Corporation for National and Community Service is joining with organizations across the country to honor the powerful impact of Senior Corps volunteers and to encourage more Americans (age 55+) to serve their communities through the Corps.

Senior Corps volunteers use their skills and experience to meet community needs, including serving as Foster Grandparents (serving at-risk youth), Senior Companions (supporting senior citizens in independent living in their own homes), meeting critical community needs via the RSVP program, and supporting America's veterans by providing counseling and other support to veterans and their families.
