A New England parks and recreation servant recently died in the line of duty, a reminder of the hazards and stresses faced by the members of the region's municipal services.
William L. Thyng, 71, a seven year veteran of the Sanford, ME, Parks and Recreation Department, died as a result of an accident that occurred while he and a coworker were hanging wreaths from light poles.
May he rest in peace.
