On Use of Maple Syrup by Vermont EMTs to Treat Low Blood Sugar Issues

"Rescue organizations in Vermont seem to think so. 

"In fact, emergency medical technicians in the Green Mountain State have been allowed since 2014 to administer small amounts of pure Vermont maple syrup to patients who have low blood sugar and are able to swallow. These days, a smattering of rescue organizations throughout the state have taken advantage of that guidance, keeping maple syrup in their ambulances."
