"Seniors in Hyde Park and Morristown who need a little help to stay in their homes can call on a neighbor.
"New
nonprofit Lamoille Neighbors was founded this year as part of the
Village to Village Network, and gives older Vermonters someone to call
when they need small services done around the house, such as lawns
mowed, lightbulbs changed and the like.
"A
person’s ability to keep up with his or her home can often affect
whether he or she can age there, or go into a nursing home, said Joan
Greene, vice president of Lamoille Neighbors' board of directors."
