Washington Performance of Verdi's Requiem Commemorates Performance at Concentration Camp

In one of this week’s stories, PBS’s Religion & Ethics Newsweekly describes a performance of Giuseppe Verdi's Messa da Requiem at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, that commemorates the performance of the same work by Jewish prisoners at Terezín, a World War II German concentration camp in what is now the Czech Republic. (Note this is a rebroadcast from 10 December 2010.)
