American Bandstand

When I was growing up, there was a television program I would often watch - American Bandstand. I remember it as Saturday daytime show, but it was broadcast at other times as well. Hosted by Dick Clark, the show was a live music and dance show that include teenagers dancing to popular music (especially rock 'n' roll). This music was often performed by the artists themselves.

On this date in 1989, the final American Bandstand show was broadcast.
