The Museum of Natural History in Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI, is planning a community day on Saturday (12 November) to celebrate the museum’s 115th anniversary as "The People's University." The museum was founded in 1896 and is still owed and operated by the City of Providence.
"Bridging the Past, Forging the Future" is the theme of this Community Day, which runs from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
Planned activities include historic presentations, vault tours (additional admission), and gallery talks will be offered throughout the day. Admission for this event is free with a canned good for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank or a gently used book.
