Solar Storm to Affect Earth

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is advising that that the effects of a large solar flare will be affecting Earth this morning. The effects of this geomagnetic storm, already being felt, may affect the power grid, navigation systems (including GPS), and other technologies. It may also enhance the visibility of the aurora borealis (northern lights).
