Profile of 99-Year Old Volunteer at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Lewiston, ME

“Laurianne Cormier was 62, recently retired from her mill job as a stitcher of children's shoes. She thought she and her husband, Philippe, would travel in their twilight years, but he was busy working odd jobs.”

A recent Sun Journal article profiled Ms. Cormier, who for the past 35 years has served as a volunteer at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. Ms. Cormier, who will be turning age 100 in July, currently serves two days a week at St. Mary’s.
