This week, the week of 7-13 April, is being observed as National
Library Week. This year's theme is "Libraries = Strong Communities."
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national
observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries
across the country each April. It is designed to be a time to celebrate
the contributions of our nation’s libraries – public, school, academic,
and special – and librarians and to promote library use and support.
