"Many readers will immediately recognize the first two questions of
the venerable Baltimore Catechism. Although there were various editions
of the Catechism, these are the first two questions as I remember them.
"For several generations of American Catholics, the Baltimore Catechism served as the foundation of our faith. . . ."
In a recent commentary, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin, of the Diocese of Providence
