Today (25 September, the last Sunday in September) the Church celebrates the World Day of Migrants and Refugees (an observance since 1914). This is an occasion to express concern for different vulnerable people on the move; to pray for them as they face many challenges; and to increase awareness about the opportunities that migration offers.
"Today is World Day of Migrants and Refugees. Let us renew our commitment to building a future that puts migrants, refugees, displaced persons and victims of human trafficking at the centre. The Kingdom of God is built together with them." - Pope Francis
