"Cast all your worries upon the Lord because He cares for You. Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling Around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith knowing that your fellow believers Throughout the world undergo the same sufferings." (1 Peter 4:7-9)

"The materialistic world is seductive and Satan and his demons works their way into our lives with various aspects of this world, especially pride, sensuality, and greed. The seven deadly sins are all around us. Ask yourself: has the Christian lost the primary reason they are on the planet in seeking these goals? Do we not need to put the same energies and drive toward spiritual goals, as we do for material accomplishments? Being a Christian is not a part time occupation. It is a full time commitment. It challenges us to respond with a virtuous life of faith and charity. This must be the rule of our lives which helps us make the right decisions, daily in every respect and every endeavor." - from a recent Daily Inspiration from the Dominican Shrine of Saint Jude Thaddeus, Chicago, IL
