As part of a contingent form the 143rd Civil Engineer Squadron, Rhode Island Air National Guard (based in Quonset Point), recently assisted with the clean up of a property on Pierce Street in Westerly, one of the steps that are designed to turn the property into apartments for homeless, disabled veterans. This volunteer effort is an Operation Stand Down Rhode Island initiative.
