Brookings Offers Five Items U.S. Census Revealed

In a recent report, the Brookings Institution, a nonprofit public policy organization, offered five insights it gleaned from the 2010 U.S. Census and its follow up reports.

These items include:

  • the United States is growing more slowly;
  • Americans are increasingly stuck at home;
  • minorities are driving growth, replenishing America’s youth;
  • Boomers continue to age, transforming American households; and
  • Americans lost ground on income and poverty in the 2000’s.
