A Visit to La Salette

Last night, Myrna and I were blessed to finally be able to get to the La Salette Shrine (the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette) in Attleboro, MA, to view the shrine's Christmas lighting display, the last evening the display would be presented this season. As always, the lights were spectacular, with many of the older decorations and a number of newer ones we had not seen before.

We were especially blessed because we went to the evening Mass there (6:30) and Father Pat (Father Andre Patenaude) was the music ministry for the Mass. After the Mass, he presented a short concert (the last one of this Christmas season), which included a number of familiar Christmas carols interspersed with selections from a new album, Serenity.

It was a good evening, a great way to welcome in the new year!
