A New England public works servant recently died in the
line of duty, a reminder of the hazards and stresses faced by the members of
the region’s municipal services.
Warren Cowles, 59, of the Longmeadow, MA, Department of Public
Works, died when his snow plow was struck by a train as he was plowing his
assigned route during the major snow storm that hit New England on Tuesday, 14
March. May he rest in peace.
