"Driving around town these days can be a really frustrating experience.
So many roads are under construction, and detours, closed ramps,
merging lanes, concrete barricades and orange barrels are everywhere.
While the work certainly has to be done, and we applaud those who are
doing it, the driving experience is challenging nonetheless.
"But here's a thought: Through the eyes of faith the construction work
has spiritual value to it, for the incomplete road work is an apt
analogy for the Kingdom of God."
In a recent commentary, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin, of the Diocese of Providence
(RI), reflected on how the Kingdom of God, already in our midst, is still under construction.
