Seventy-five years ago today (on 8 September 1947), one Thomas John Loaptosky married one Jeanne Barbara Haupt at St. Thomas Church in Southington, Connecticut. Twelve children, eighteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren (with another one about to make an appearance) later, the world has not been the same since. Although most of the fruits of that marriage remain hidden, Dad and Mom and each of my siblings, children, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and grand-nieces and nephews (even the very youngest) have been a blessing, touching the lives of a number of people in a positive. way. Although Dad passed in 2006, his legacy is very much alive, and I am very grateful that Dad and Mom found each other, married, and started our extended family. We are blessed indeed! Thank you, Lord! (By the way, this date was also Dad's birthday.)
