The National March for Life will be on Friday, 20 January in Washington, DC. This year's theme is "Next Steps: Marching into a Post-Roe America." A pre-march March for Life Rally will be on the National Mall (west of 8th Street near the Smithsonian Castle) beginning at 12:00 PM and continuing until approximately 1:00 PM. It will be followed immediately by the March for Life itself. EWTN will broadcast coverage for this event beginning at 9:30 AM.
The theme is designed to emphasize the need (in the absence of Roe v. Wade) for pro-life
advocates to continue boldly marching in defense of the unborn - both on
the state and federal level - and advocating for a minimum federal
standard to protect innocent life against radical pro-abortion
legislation.
As in previous years, the Solemn Vigil Mass for Life/National Prayer Vigil for Life will be held in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception beginning on Thursday, 10 January. Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington (and Chairman, USCCB Committee on Pro-Life
Activities) will be the Principal Celebrant and Homilist at the Vigil
Mass.
