Msgr. Pope on What to Do When Things Don’t Make Sense

“There are just those times in our life when things don’t make sense, and we wonder why,  and seeing no end in sight, we wonder how long. It is not just the suffering, it is not knowing why or how long, that intensifies the agony and makes up most of its content.”

In a recent commentary, Monsignor Charles Pope (pastor of Holy Comforter-Saint Cyprian Parish, Washington, DC) reflected on the serenity that can only be found in acknowledging and accepting, with trust in the Lord, that there are some things we cannot know.
