Hampstead, NH, in a pilot program, is encouraging residents to bring their bulky recyclables to the Derry transfer station in an effort to maximize profits from recycling commodities (e.g., copper wire from stripped down power cords, scrap metal wrestled from appliances, quantities of cardboard and newspaper sold to the highest bidder).
