Today the Church celebrates Pentecost Sunday. The assigned readings for the Sunday Mass are Genesis 11:1-9, Romans 8:22-17, and John 7:37-39. The Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 104 (Psalm 104:1-2, 24, 35, 27-30).

The Gospel reading is as follows:
On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and exclaimed, “Let anyone who thirsts come to me and drink. As Scripture says: ‘Rivers of living water will flow from within him’ who believes in me.”
He said this in reference to the Spirit that those who came to believe in him were to receive. There was, of course, no Spirit yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
The assigned readings for the Vigil Mass were Acts 2:1-11; 1 Corinthians 12:3-7, 12-13; and John 20:19-23. The Responsorial Psalm was Psalm 104 (Psalm 104:1, 24, 29-31, 34).
