Today, 22 April, is the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day, a day that was established to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment. Initially the focus on Earth Day was on the United States, but, twenty years later, it became an international event. This year's theme is "Invest In Our Planet."
