Fine Arts in Connecticut: WMNR Fine Arts Radio

New England is a treasure house filled with many different types of spiritual, cultural, historical, and other resources. Included in this treasure trove is a rich mixture of fine arts presentations, opportunities, and other assets.

One such resource is WMNR Fine Arts Radio, a public radio station licensed to the Town of Monroe, Connecticut. WMNR operates 24 hours a day providing classical and fine arts music programming.

The station is one of 40 public radio stations in the country that air 90% or more classical music and is the only such station in Southern New England. Using just a few nationally-produced programs (including live concerts of the Boston Symphony Orchestra's summer presentations at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA), WMNR generates most of its own programming.
