Fr. Michael Najim on Judging Oneself

"Sometimes I get frustrated with myself.  I get impatient with my imperfections.  I get upset at how I can be so focused on the Lord and spiritual living for an extended period of time and then, it seems, in an instant I can slide back into old habits."

In a recent commentary, Father Michael Najim (Vocation Director of the Diocese of Providence and chaplain at La Salle Academy, Providence, RI) reflected on the importance of not dwelling on the times we fall down spiritually. He reminds us that it is important to acknowledge and express true sorrow for these failures - and then to move on, to keep living.
