Congratulations, Sister Ann Keefe, SSJ!

Congratulations to Sister Ann Keefe, SSJ, who was recently honored to be named Deputy Marshal of the 2012 Providence, RI, Saint Patrick's Day Parade! The parade was held yesterday (10 March) on Smith Street.

I have had the privilege of working with Sister Ann on a number of occasions, usually on housing related issues. I value her spiritually, her spirit of joy, and her compassion for those in need. This was, indeed, a fine honor for her.

Sister Ann has been ministering at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Providence for a number of years. Among her other ministries, Sister Ann serves as chairperson of the Providence Human Relations Commission.

It “just so happens” that the route of the parade passes in front of Providence’s Saint Patrick Church.
