National Safety Month

The month of June has been designated as National Safety Month, an annual observance designed to increase awareness of leading causes of preventable injuries and deaths and to encourage safe behaviors. This year’s theme is “Safety Starts with Me.”

The individual weekly themes for this year’s observance are:

  • Week 1: Preventing Slips, Trips, and Falls;
  • Week 2: Employee Wellness;
  • Week 3: Emergency Preparedness; and
  • Week 4: Ergonomics.
