Throughout New England, there are a number of fire museums that offer a look into the history of the fire service in a local community, a state, or beyond.
One such museum is the Aquarius No.1 Fire Museum, located adjacent to the Peterborough, NH, fire station at 16 Summer Street. Its exhibits include a 1914 American LaFrance pumper, an 1803 Thayer hand pumper and a hose reel from the late 1800’s.
