This week, the week of 10-16 November, is being observed as Geography Awareness Week. an initiative designed to raise awareness about deficiency in geography education and excite people about geography as both a discipline and as a part of everyday life.
According to the National Geographic Society, this annual public awareness program encourages citizens young and old to think and learn about the significance of place and how we affect and are affected by it.
