New England is the home of a number of beautiful cathedrals, the cathedrae of the various Roman Catholic dioceses located in this region.
One of these cathedrals is Our Lady of the Annunciation Cathedral in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, seat of the Eparchy of Newton (for Melkites). The Eparchy was established in Newton in 1976, which is where the administrative offices were located at the time. The offices have since moved to the West Roxbury section of Boston.
The parish was initially established in South Boston in 1908. The cathedral itself was built at its new location in 1966.
