Over the years, New England has had a number of great athletes in various sports. One of these New England treasures is Bill Russell, of the Boston Celtics (see today's "Reflection Starter").
According to the Basketball Hall of Fame, Bill Russell (6'10") is considered the "greatest defensive center in basketball history." He is one of the reasons that Boston won eleven National Basketball Association championships, including eight consecutive titles (1959-1966).
