As we conclude our Independence Day celebration, I offer a reflection from Dr. Marcellino D'Ambrosio on how Church teaching reflects the proposition of the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
