One of the treasures of New England is the entertainer, George M. Cohan, whose birthday we celebrate during the time of the Independence Day celebration.
Mr. Cohan was born in Providence, RI, and he was part of a family of entertainers. Over the years he wrote a number of patriotic and other songs - approximately 500 songs altogether.
