Throughout New England, there are a number of fire museums that offer a look into the history of the fire service in a local community, a state, or beyond.
One such museum is the Fire Museum, which is part of the Hampton Historical Society's Tuck Museum, a complex of five buildings and other structures located at 40 Park Avenue in Hampton, New Hampshire. Its exhibits include an 1853 first class hand engine (the "Winnacunnet No. 1") and a hand-drawn hose reel.
