Erik Andrus of Boundbrook Farm, Ferrisburgh, VT

One of the treasures of New England is its fabled "New England ingenuity." Examples of this trait abound throughout the region's history and continue through the present.

One current example is the effort of Erik Andrus, a farmer in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, who is attempting to grow cold-hardy rice on his farm, Boundbrook Farm.
