North Dakota Benedictine Monks Discontinuing Cattle Raising

For over 100 years, the Benedictine monks at Assumption Abbey, a monastery in Richardton, North Dakota, have raised cattle as part of their work to be self sufficient. However, because so few of the monks currently have cowboy skills, the monastery will be selling the cattle (approximately 260 head) and renting the pastures to neighboring operations
