Danbury, CT, Support Group for Family Members Affected by Suicide

"After Krystle Hart's father died by suicide when she was 22, her family went to grief support groups.

"But it was hard to relate to the other mourners, many of whom lost parents to cancer or other illnesses.

"'Nothing hit home,' said Hart, now 29. 'You couldn't compare.'

"Now, Hart is starting a support group in Danbury for those affected by suicide. The group will be open to community members who lost loved ones to suicide, those struggling with mental health and those with relatives battling mental illnesses."

A recent article in The News-Times (Danbury, CT) reported on this initiative by Ms. Hart.
