American Heart Month

The month of February is being observed American Heart Month. This year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP) is focusing on how people can control high blood pressure and protect their heart  According to DHDSP, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or hypertension, is dangerous and far too common. One of three adults in the United States has this condition. High blood pressure usually has no signs or symptoms, but it does have consequences.
